Eating Disorders (ED) are
serious but treatable mental and physical illnesses that can affet
people of all genders, ages, races. religjons, ethricities, sexual rentations, body
shapes, and weights. Surveys estimate that Anorexda and Binge are more common among women,
and the incidence is about ten times that of men. In women's lifetime the chance of getting
Anorexia is about 4%; chances of getting Bulimia or Binge eating disorder is 2%.
While no one
knows for sure what causes Eating Disorder, a growing consensus suggests
that it is a range of genetics. brain biology, personality taits and socio-cultural
factors which encourages homogeneous and fixed judgement of aesthetical ideals in women's body
images.
